Jila Water Warranty

General Warranty

Water Filtration Systems¹ (excluding consumables) manufactured or assembled by Jila Water are covered under a 12-month Warranty Against Defects (Manufacturer’s Warranty). This warranty ensures the system is free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of sale.

If applicable, Jila Water may cover the return freight as a reimbursement after inspecting and confirming the issue as a valid warranty claim.

Jila Water does not cover labor charges incurred by the consumer for replacement or repair of a product. The warranty applies only to parts supplied by Jila Water and is strictly a parts-only warranty. This warranty applies exclusively to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. If you purchased your system through a reseller, please contact them to facilitate the warranty on your behalf. All replaced or exchanged parts become the property of Jila Water.

Jila Water does not cover the workmanship of the plumber or installer who originally set up the system. Any damages that occur during installation remain the responsibility of the plumber or installer.


Qualification for Warranty

As per Australian Plumbing Codes, all water filtration systems must be installed by a licensed plumber. Customers are responsible for retaining proof of installation, such as an invoice or receipt.

To maintain warranty eligibility, filtration systems must be serviced and maintained as per Jila Water’s recommended guidelines³, using replacement filters, fittings, and components supplied by Jila Water. Failure to maintain the system using Jila Water-approved products may void the warranty.

This warranty applies only if the product was used and installed according to the user guide and installation instructions. Jila Water is not responsible for consequential damages, delays, or faulty manufacturing beyond legal exclusions.

All warranty claims must be approved by Jila Water to confirm that the product was not incorrectly used, installed, or claimed under false pretenses. False or incorrect claims may incur chargeable inspection and transit costs.

Jila Water does not retain customer records, and it is the customer’s responsibility to keep invoices and maintenance records as proof of ongoing upkeep.


Warranty Exclusions

The Jila Water Standard Warranty shall be void if the product sustains damage or failure resulting from:

  • Failure to maintain the system as per recommended servicing guidelines.
  • Unauthorized or abnormal use or operation beyond standard applications.
  • Exposure to unsuitable environmental conditions, including but not limited to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, and weather damage.
  • Modifications or alterations made to the system without Jila Water’s approval.
  • Installation errors or damage caused by improper setup.
  • Plumber or installer workmanship issues—Jila Water does not cover labor costs or incorrect installation damages.

Definitions

¹ Water Filtration Systems include systems for drinking water, whole-house filtration, reverse osmosis, and ultraviolet sanitation—excluding replacement cartridges and shower filters.
² Products not manufactured or assembled by Jila Water are covered under their respective manufacturer’s warranties.
³ Jila Water recommends or requires specific filter maintenance schedules—see product details for further guidance. If a maintenance schedule is not specified, filter replacement is required at least once every 12 months.
